Mr. Horwitz is a seasoned economist with more than 25 years experience, an expert in analyzing the implications of the macroeconomy for industry sector performance, especially sales activity, earnings, and pricing. Joining Decision Economics in 1997, he is responsible for providing industry analyses across the U.S. and global economies relating to equity asset allocation, equity investments and credit analysis. He is an expert on the S&P500 Industry economic and profits prospects.

Prior to Decision Economics, Mr. Horwitz spent four years with DRI/McGraw-Hill. While there, he was Director of the Industry and Regional Economics Group, with responsibilities for the firm's subscription forecasts and analyses of detailed sectors and regions throughout the U.S. economy, and for conducting related contract research. Mr. Horwitz also worked for Chase Econometrics and The WEFA Group in various related senior capacities over the previous 16 years.

He earned his Master's degree in Economics and completed doctoral requirements except dissertation at the University of Maryland, where he was a senior member of the research team that developed INFORUM, the first practical large-scale input-output model for business planning. He received a B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.
